The pros: Trader Joe's Matcha Green Tea is a nice balance of green tea and matcha flavors. No calories and your entire day's worth of vitamin C.
The cons:Â The can is a small size at just over 8 ounces.
The verdict:  For $0.99 you are getting 8.2 fluid ounces of Trader Joe's Matcha Green Tea. This is very different from other teas available. The first noticeable difference is that it is unsweetened. You are getting 0 calories here as there are no sweeteners or artificial sweeteners. As an added bonus, you also get your entire day's worth of vitamin C.
The taste here is one that is more familiar. It tastes like green tea with a slight taste of matcha. The matcha was used in moderation as there was no astringent flavors here. The matcha does not overwhelm this product in anyway other than the color. In fact, the color reminded me more of a green juice than anything else. However, it doesn't taste anything like a green juice drink at all. It's just very simple green tea with a hint of matcha.
Should you buy it? If you are a true matcha fan, then you might be better off seeking out Trader Joe's Matcha Green Tea Packets as they cost about the same per serving and will allow you to dictate how much matcha flavor you like. If you just like green tea that is unsweetened, then this might be a good match for you.
If you do not embrace the matcha craze, then this would be an item to skip. For me, it was nice to try once. It didn't wow me.

Would I buy this again? For me, this is probably a no. It wasn't bad, but matcha isn't my favorite. That being said, if you like green tea and matcha flavors this might be the right match for you. There aren't many no calorie green teas on the market, so if you want matcha green tea, and don't have the tea packets, then this is a good way to go.
