The pros: $7.99 might sound like a lot for Trader Joe's Blanched Almond Flour, but that's actually a very reasonable price. King Arthur Almond flour sells for double.
The cons: Still expensive compared to regular wheat flour, but for some wheat flour is a non option.
The verdict: If you need almond flour Trader Joe's Blanched Almond Flour is a good brand to go with. The recipe on back was pretty cool too. I had several people say they felt like they were eating real chocolate chip cookies.
In the baking aisle or wherever they keep the supplies here is what the bag looks like. Keep in mind this is not almond meal.
This is perfect for those who are gluten free or on certain diets like Keto. This is as good as any almond flour I've bought.

So the "Gold Standard" of chocolate chip cookies will always be the Toll House recipe. However, this was fairly similar except it uses almond flour rather than regular wheat based all purpose flour. The cookie batter was completely dissimilar and would likely discourage snacking as its not as sweet as the traditional mix. (Please note you shouldn't be eating raw batter ever. It's bad for you. I'm not sure how an entire generation of Americans got by on eating the raw batter. Anyway there is a slight possibility of food born illness if you eat raw eggs, so just be aware). The cookies were pretty good. I'd make them again. I'd also like to try this flour by making macarons. But it was of good quality. I recommend this brand of almond flour as it is easy to work with, affordable, and tastes good.

you read my mind - my son has just found out his allergies are exacerbated by gluten, and we've been trying all kinds of stuff. The other day I made peanut butter cookies with flour I ground from rice - they turned out great! We live in rice and "amund" country, so this almond flour recipe of yours is the next one we will try. Thanks very much!
