The pros:  If you have dietary concerns or you are a vegan, Trader Joe's Coconut Creamer is a low calorie choice for your coffee or tea.

The cons:  If you are not vegan and you like milk or creamer in your coffee, be prepared for something that is slightly thinner in consistency than skim milk.

The verdict:  For $1.49, I purchased this to see if I would miss the dairy in my coffee. For me the answer was yes, I missed the creamy nature of milk here. I was looking to both cut calories. What I got here was something closer to the consistency of skim milk, but because there was no fat it couldn't carry a lot of the flavor of the coffee. For me this is a no. If you already use skim milk in your coffee, then this might be a replacement, but be ready for a noticeable taste of coconut.

Would I buy this again? For me Trader Joe's Coconut Creamer is a no. Now, that's not to say I don't think it's worth a try. Out of the container, it looks like milk. It looks thick and creamy, but as the nutritional information reveals, it's going to be thin if you are looking to add this to your morning coffee instead of milk, half and half or a creamer. If I had to choose between this an a powdered non dairy creamer, I'll choose the non dairy creamer every time.

My wife and I like this product because it is extremely low in calories, carbs and sugar - far lower than anything else I could find. I grant you the "skim milk" consistency point but for dieters (in this case, Weight Watchers), it really helps you keep your points down.
The problem is that there is no Trader Joe's anywhere near (less than two hours away) from our area so ....... it's difficult to just pick up a pint of creamer. There are no other creamers I have found (outside of powdered) with these types of low numbers.
I'd very enthusiastically buy it again if I could get to a Trader Joe's!
