The pros: Trader Joe's Mozzarella Whole Milk Low Moisture Cheese is sold as a full pound of cheese.
The cons: Difficult to cut even slices, not nearly as flavorful as Trader Joe’s Pre-Sliced Mozzarella. This is less like fresh Mozzarella and more like a harder Polly-O.
The verdict: Â For $4.99 this is a good shredding cheese, but not one that I would eat unless it was melted on something. For the freshest Mozzarella taste stick with the pre-sliced Mozzarella often found right next to this cheese. The texture was very dense and wasn't nearly as enjoyable as fresh Mozzarella. It was even harder than the block of Polly-O cheese they sell in the store. If you hit a good sale at the grocery store, I'd say I'd rather have the Polly-O. All is not lost on this cheese, it melts well and has a longer shelf life than fresh. For the purpose of dips and pizza this cheese will get the job done.

Would I buy this again? I have bough it again but I keep it only for times I need shredded or melted cheese. It melts well and keeps much longer than fresh due to the lack of moisture. If you are trying to make a Grandma pizza then yes, use the Fresh Pre Sliced Mozzarella. If you are trying to make pizzas or a dip, this cheese is suitable for that purpose.
