Now that the calendar officially says Fall, you perhaps are craving some of the more comforting items that are so familiar. Trader Joe's Chicken Pot Pie Ravioli takes ravioli and brings a comforting seasonal filling to the mix. It reminded me of Chicken a la King rather than chicken pot pie. How to prepare:
Get a pot of boiling water and put Trader Joe's Chicken Pot Pie Ravioli in. Cook 5-6 minutes. Drain. Enjoy with a butter or cream sauce (because isn't chicken pot pie in a nice cream sauce anyway?)
How did it taste? All that was missing was the flakey pie crust. It had all the things that are familiar about sweater weather food. It was more on the chicken a la king side as it is pasta and not pie crust, but it was still delicious and a welcomed break from the regular cheese filled variety. It was chicken-y with veggies as a filling. These would probably be awesome as fried ravioli, but I haven't tried it yet. Just food for thought.
