Trader Joe's La Fondue container

Product Description

Trader Joe's La Fondue is a pre-made cheese fondue blend featuring a combination of Swiss and Emmental cheeses with white wine and traditional spices. The fondue comes ready to heat, making it quick and easy to serve. The Swiss cheeses give it a rich, nutty flavor, while the white wine adds a touch of acidity to balance the creaminess. Simply heat it up, serve with your favorite dippers, and you're ready to enjoy a restaurant-quality fondue at home.

The packaging is convenient, allowing you to microwave the fondue directly in its container or heat it on the stovetop. This flexibility makes it ideal for last-minute entertaining or an indulgent snack on a cold night.

Honest Review of Trader Joe's La Fondue

Flavor: The flavor of Trader Joe's La Fondue is rich and savory, with the distinct nuttiness of Swiss cheese coming through beautifully. The cheese blend is smooth and creamy, with a slight tang from the white wine that cuts through the richness just enough. It's a well-balanced flavor, and the addition of wine gives it that traditional fondue taste without being too overpowering. The seasoning is subtle, allowing the cheese to be the star of the dish.

Texture: The texture is another highlight. Once heated, the fondue becomes velvety and smooth, perfect for dipping. It clings well to bread, vegetables, and fruit, making every bite satisfying and flavorful. The fondue doesn't get overly thick or gloopy, which can sometimes be an issue with pre-made cheese products.

Overall: Trader Joe's La Fondue is incredibly easy to prepare, which is a huge plus for anyone who loves fondue but doesn't want to go through the effort of making it from scratch. It heats quickly and evenly, and the flavor holds up well whether you use the microwave or stovetop. This product is perfect for casual gatherings, date nights, or even as part of a fun family dinner. And if there are leftovers, just cover the original package and reheat gently again.

Zucchini Carpaccio Recipe

Zucchini Carpaccio

I recently went to Fig and Olive for dinner. The food was fantastic. There was one item that took me by surprise when we went there: Zucchini Carpaccio. I split an appetizer and it's something I would have ever had ordered in a million years. Priced at $12 it's not something I'm going to run there and order on regularly. It's something tasty, simple, with a good balance between acid, texture, salt, and pepper. On top of everything else, it's vegetarian and relatively healthy. It's uncooked and with thinly sliced zucchini you won't miss it being cooked....

Trader Joe's Cinnamon Crumpets

The pros:  If you like pancakes and English muffins, then this is likely for you as Trader Joe's Cinnamon Crumpets taste like a hybrid of both. Pleasant but not overwhelming taste of cinnamon. Went well with butter and jam. Low in calories so you can have 2 of these without much guilt.

The cons:  Trader Joe's Cinnamon Crumpets  are a bit plain on its own.

The verdict:  ...

Dieting at Trader Joe's: 1500 Calories a Day

Dieting at Trader Joe's: 500 calorie meals and under.

So you've made a New Years Resolution. Perhaps you realize summer will be here eventually. Perhaps for health or personal reasons you realize that it's time to drop a few pounds. There are plenty of diet programs out there. One I'm most critical of is Jenny Craig. Not that it's a bad program, but it's expensive. It also goes against the philosophy of "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime." You are never really taught how to cook. Plus their food is quite expensive and some can even be confused with pet food visually. Since adding time to a set 24 hour day isn't going to happen, you may need to rely on certain things being already made for you. Maybe it will give you time back in your day or give you just a few more minutes at the gym. So I've pulled together of (most) of my reviews and complied a calorie count for each item if you plan on Dieting at Trader Joe's....

Trader Joe's Strawberry Champagne Truffles

The pros:  Quite possibly the best most enjoyable white chocolate I've ever had. I hate white chocolate but Trader Joe's Strawberry Champagne Truffles tasted smooth and creamy.

The cons:  If you aren't a white chocolate fan, this might convert you to think otherwise. If you have a nut allergy of any sort, avoid this product
