Trader Joe's Brownie Crisps

The pros:  Trader Joe's Brownie Crisps is an easy way to get your chocolate fix. Vegan & gluten free if that is important to you. $2.99 which is reasonable for something in the snack aisle. Another nice alternate for making yourself a 100 calorie snack.

The cons:  A bit gritty or grainy in texture. Smells like a brownie, tastes like a crisp chocolate cookie. A lot of my crisps were broken from their original square shape.

The verdict:  ...

Review of Trader Joe's Harvest Blend Herbal Tea

Flavor Profile

As someone who loves seasonal items at Trader Joe's, this tea is a must-try for any fall enthusiast. The cinnamon is the standout flavor, warming your palate without being too overpowering. It's well-balanced with the apple and ginger notes, making it taste like a spiced cider without the sugar.

Caffeine-Free and Anytime Enjoyment

The lack of caffeine makes it perfect for any time of day, especially as a soothing nighttime drink. Unlike some herbal teas, this one doesn't have that artificial or overly sweet aftertaste. It's also great when paired with a touch of honey or your favorite sweetener for a richer flavor.

Price and Value

The best part? It's affordable, and the rich blend of flavors feels much higher-end than its price tag suggests. Whether you're new to herbal teas or a seasoned sipper, this is an excellent option for fall.

Overall

This is a seasonal favorite for a reason. It's seasonal flavors without being too much and lacks pumpkin flavor for those who need a break from that flavor. It's a great blend that's very drinkable all year round despite the fact that this only shows up in the Fall.

Trader Joe's Peruvian Style Chimichurri Rice

Trader Joe's Peruvian Style Chimichurri Rice review #traderjoes

Chimichurri sauce for the uninitiated is a South American condiment that contains garlic, cilantro, oil, vinegar, parsley and some form of heat courtesy of either a jalapeno or red pepper flakes. It adds a nice acid to a dish as well as fresh herbs. How is it in Trader Joe's Peruvian Style Chimichurri Rice? I thought it was quite nice. For $2.99 it wasn't a bad deal....

Trader Joe's Buenalba with Sweet Paprika Cheese

Trader Joe's Buenalba

The pros:  Trader Joe's Buenalba with Sweet Paprika Cheese is a unique tasting cheese that is hard to place. It says that its raw goat and sheep's milk cheese. It truly ended up tasting like Bleu Cheese (If you are into that sort of thing). It's not spicy at all.

The cons: Trader Joe's Buenalba cheese tasted like Blue Cheese and not the velvety smooth goat cheese taste I was looking for.

The verdict:  ...

Trader Joe's Apple Pie Cheddar Cheese

An unopened package of Trader Joe's Apple Pie Cheddar Cheese

Some combinations Trader Joe's come up with are magical. Some are a disaster that leave you in awe that some corporation let it go to market. This is one of those disasters. The concept was good. Cheddar and apples go well. Cinnamon and apples go. Add texture to cheese with a pumpkin pie spice, it just didn't work in Trader Joe's Apple Pie Cheddar Cheese. For $10 per pound, it worked even less. I'm willing to pay for good cheese, but this isn't it. I really wanted to like it. I'd still like to know who approved of this product without tasting it first.

The pros:  Not that I could think of. Nope. Nothing.

The cons:  Strange and bizarre taste. Cheddar taste, odd consistency, almost an pumpkin pie taste to it. It was a nice concept, but totally gross.

The verdict:  ...
